We are honored to have Colonel Bernard O’Neil, USMC (ret), as our guest speaker to make remembering 9.11 together a special experience.
Col O’Neil served in the Marine Corps for 30 years, operating in 56 countries and aboard six ships retiring as Executive Assistant to the Deputy Commandant of the Marine Corps, Installation and Logistics.
He served in every expeditionary force and following the terrorist attacks on 9/11, he directed the Pentagon’s Crisis Action Center, and later opened and directed the off-site alternate National Military Command Center headquarters.
Colonel O’Neil’s personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal with Gold Star; the Legion of Merit with Gold Star; the Defense Meritorious Service Medal with Gold Star; the Meritorious Service Medal; the Joint Service Commendation Medal with Gold Star; and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. Col O’Neil has the Joint Staff, USCENTCOM, RDJTF, and USTRANSCOM Joint and Unified Command Badges.
